Rivery’s platform supports hundreds of the most popular data sources to aggregate and consolidate data, but sometimes businesses need to pull data from platforms that might not be as widely used.

While we’re always expanding and growing our list of integrations supported in our platform to give the ‘plug and play’ experience that our customers love, there are some instances in which our customers need to create a bespoke API to be able to include a new source of data to their Rivery account.

This is why we have introduced ‘Custom APIs’ – a feature designed to break down any barriers between our customers and their data.

With Custom APIs, anyone can add a new source of data to their insights stack. We’ve simplified the process with no-code and without depending on other tools. You can configure a connection to any data source using an Action River combined with Rivery’s source to target REST API River.

To get started, you’ll need to get the API details from your new data source (such as the address, authentications, request parameters) via the site’s support or documentation section.

To configure the API in Rivery:

1. Simply create a new Action River

2. Put in your API details as explained here

3. Now that you have an action, you can simply load this data to your cloud data lake or database!

Let’s recap. Here’s how easy it is to set up:

You can now enjoy limitless sources of data and ensure all your business insights sit under one roof with Rivery.

Remember that if there’s a specific data source you’d like us to add, we’re always expanding our repertoire of data integrations. You can request a specific integration right here.
