This Kit includes…

• Action river that triggers a Coalesce job based on the passed job ID and environment ID
• Action river that checks on the triggered job’s run status as it runs
• Logic that orchestrates this trigger and status check process

Configuring this Kit for use

Variables

In this Kit, there are two river variables and three connection parameters that are used to make for dynamic use of the kit configuration. 

River Variables:

• {coalesce_job_id} is used as the job ID you would like to trigger from running this kit
• {coalesce_environment_id} is used as the environment ID where the job will run

To initialize the river variables, go into the ‘Coalesce Run Job – Logic’ river and select the variable menu on the top right. Populate the coalesce_job_id variable with the job ID of the job you’d like to be triggered and update the coalesce_environment_id of the environment where the job will run.

Connections

When downloading this kit, it is important to edit the custom Coalesce connection with the parameters listed below. These parameters will populate the action river variables. 

• access_token: read more on how to find this value with your account here
• snowflake_username: enter your snowflake user. Note – this is only required if using basic or keypair auth for your Snowflake connection in Coalesce. For other methods, leave this blank and see below for setup in the 'River Setup' section.
• snowflake_password: enter your snowflake password. Note – this is only required if using basic auth for your Snowflake connection in Coalesce. For other methods, leave this blank and see below for setup in the 'River Setup' section.

River Setup

In addition to configuring the river variables and connection parameters, this kit can be further configured with any additional Coalesce API payload to run the desired job. By default, the payload is set up with Snowflake basic auth, but can be edited with any acceptable payload via the Coalesce documentation.

To switch the userCredentials type or add any additional parameters to the payload, simply go the 'Coalesce – Run Job' river and edit the Request Body.
