Zendesk to Snowflake

The Zendesk Kit combines data from multiple entities in the Zendesk API and provides a full data model for Zendesk.

This kit includes

• Data ingestion from the following Zendesk entities:

  • Groups

  • Organizations

  • Ticket Comments

  • Ticket Fields

  • Ticket Forms

  • Ticket Metrics

  • Tickets

  • Users

• Logic that orchestrates and transforms raw Zendesk data to create catered datasets for advanced reporting

Configuring this kit for use

Variables

In this Kit, there are three variables that are used to make for dynamic use of target configuration. 

• {DB_ZENDESK} is used in all Target configurations and queries as the target database name.

• {SCHEMA_ZENDESK} is used in all Target configurations and queries as the target schema name.

Go to the Variables menu on the left side navigation bar and create variables for DB_ZENDESK and SCHEMA_ZENDESK. Then fill in the values as the Snowflake database and schema where you would like the data to land.

Connections

If there are already Connections for Zendesk and Snowflake, import these by following the Kit wizard after clicking 'Use Kit'. Otherwise, Kits are imported with ‘blank’ source and target connections. In this case, in order to use the kit, you have two options:

• Swap out blank connections with existing connections

• Add credentials to the blank connections that come with the imported Kit
