We’re excited to announce our brand new API – a tool that was requested by many of our enterprise customers.

This new API enables external platforms to connect to Rivers in Rivery.

With the Rivery API, customers can activate Rivers or check their status from other platforms, allowing customers to trigger actions externally and programmatically automate River executions.

The Rivery API has two endpoints available:

1. RUN: Activate a River through this API call. This can be used to programmatically activate one (or multiple rivers) and gather the data automatically with the required frequency, without having to manage it within the Rivery Console.

2. CHECK RUN: This API call will check the status of the run (i.e. running, complete, etc). Working in parallel with the other API call, this will help a customer’s system connect with Rivery from a third-party platform.

The Rivery API is currently available to all users, and uses a generated API token as an authentication method.

Any account admin will be able to see the API on the left bar of the Rivery Console. From there you’ll be able to create, view, and delete API tokens for your account. You can find further documentation on the new API here.

If you’d like one of our product consultants to help you make the most of Rivery’s APIs, get in touch – we’d love to help!
