We’ve raised $16 million to help data teams create the perfect DataOps workflows
Today marks a major milestone for Rivery as we announce our Series A round of financial funding led by Entrée Capital with participation from State of Mind Ventures (SOMV). Our leading SaaS DataOps platform gives companies control over their organizational data through the ingestion, transformation, and orchestration of data processes.
In the past year, Rivery has grown rapidly, adding hundreds of customers and experiencing 500% growth with major global brands, including Bayer, American Cancer Society, WalkMe, Entravision, and Preqin.
This new funding round will serve to accelerate our growth, product roadmap, and best-in-class service to customers and partners around the world. We have ambitious plans to triple the size of our team globally, and currently there are 60 open positions to be filled in 2021.

What’s next for us?
At Rivery, our approach to DataOps and data management is to create an end-to-end platform that moves beyond the traditional ETL/ELT tools which focus only on ingestion; we are creating a new category focused on the needs of the entire DataOps team – analysts, data developers, BI, and all data users.
As enterprise businesses undergo significant transformations and the adoption of cloud databases continues to become mainstream, teams are struggling to automate and orchestrate all their data sources, and transform a tsunami of data from hundreds of different sources into meaningful insights.
This is why we believe DataOps will be crucial to streamline data management processes in a way in which all teams have access to a single and unified source of truth.
Through advanced automation and actionable logic, DataOps teams using Rivery can focus on quick deployment and an agile centralized data management process. We will continue to provide users with out-of-the box data connectors to help them with data ingestion, offer the flexibility of building robust custom data connectors, and invest in automating the major data management workflows that are typically done manually today.
Of course there are major launches coming very soon, including Rivery Kits, which will provide users with ready-built data models for dozens of popular use cases. We will also launch Programmatic Data Modeling to allow customers to build entire data operations, from start to finish, using YAML or JSON. Based on the principles of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Programmatic Data Modeling will allow teams to harness Rivery’s platform using a client’s command-line interface of choice.
We cannot wait to share these new features along with a bevy of upcoming releases to the Rivery platform, each designed to empower you and your teams to unlock the true potential of your data.
