Data aggregation is the general process where data or information is collected and then summarized in a simplified form.

The process enables companies to blend data from different sources. Often, the data is gathered from databases, combined together, and then readied for data processing. Data aggregation is typically performed to prepare data for analysis.

With data aggregation, a company can summarize and analyze large collections of data to make data-driven decisions. These summaries can also be used to assist organizations in identifying patterns and making predictions.
